on top of the world

last november i was lucky enough to share a small moment in time in the spiritually spectacular country of Nepal with my good mate. a country of extreme poverty, rich beauty and phenomenal food. If you get the chance one day, go there. grab your gear from Katmandu and head straight to the himalayas, take at least 5 days, the more the better and lose yourself in the mountains on foot,

go back to basics and enjoy some of the most stunning landscape in the world. the higher you go the cooler the people, the more unique and ancient the culture and simple yet honest the way of life, and most importantly the tastier the curries and spicier the masala tea. (photos of me were snapped by the blondest man on earth) thanks for an amazing trek buddy. Namaste

everyone who uses it knows it. that something special about old cameras and film, maybe its the sexy sound of the shutter release, the dreamy haze or the sunspots and film burn that gets leached onto each frame like a unique birthmark, maybe its the novelty of loading and unloading the canister like that of rolling a doobie to a hippy. or is it just that you have to make the shot count, and not blaze away on the trigger like the digital disposable world of today... whatever it be....
long live the film xo
